Exploration on analogy metaphor

"metaphor is an analogy between two objects or ideas; the analogy is conveyed by the use of a metaphorical word in place of some other word. For example: "Her eyes were glistening jewels".
Metaphor also denotes rhetorical figures of speech that achieve their effects via association, comparison, or resemblance (e.g., antithesis, hyperbole, metonymy, and simile, which are all types of metaphor)"

Juxtaposition

Lesson 5

Juxtaposition are when two objects or subjects are line to each other. Juxtaposition, the word may sound a little bit weird and never heard of but the concept is just the same with any other picture or scene. So basically juxtaposition is to capture two objects that are align to each other and sometimes it has their own meaning.

Associated Mind Map

Lesson 4

Mind map is an idea or an information in a form of images and texts. The most common mind map are the ones with no images but only texts. To make the mind map more interesting and fun, we must put images and colorful texts to make more appealing and attractive. This kind of mind map is called creative mind mapping, it is very different from the normal mind map. If you take one normal people and one creative people and ask them to make a mind map, you can see the differences.

Mind map helps us to design things easily, we can study them and put it in the mind map. Mind map must also have a flow it in which connects to one point to another point. This makes it easier to understand what we want to share and deliver a message.

Putting images and colorful texts help to deliver the message more easier. They give the impact to each words we want to tell. With images it's easier to explain what is going on.

Here are the examples of creative mind mapping:

Mind Mapping

Lesson 3

This is my mind map. Everything you want to know about me you can look through this mind map.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention

Lesson 2

Creativity is when you take a certain object and change it or upgrade it into something new to make things easier. For example the handphone, I remember the first handphone that ever created was big and it only got really small screen and buttons. Now we can see that the handphone is evolving every year and becoming more advance. There are add ons such as camera, touch screen and so on. This is called creative thinking.

From the picture above, I can see that people are trying to make things easier by making old inventions then upgrade it into something new. To make these kind of things is not an easy task, we must first broaden our mind and think what people want.

Steven Spielberg is one of my favorite director. He create movies beyond imagination.

Defining Creativity part.2

This is my friend Ax, I edited his picture like this because he love the outer space.

From what I've learned in lesson 1 that to be creative is not an easy task. I have to change the way I think and the way solve/see things differently and I'm doing it slowly. After the class of lesson 1, I can solve my problem easily by learning the problem and find a different and easy way to solve it.
Not just solving problem, I have start designing new image and pictures in a different ways thanks to the lectures from my class. I realized that before this I think easy and not taking the hard. To be creative I have to take the hard way, not the easy way. This way when I do and failed, I can learn from my mistakes and do it in different way.
Another thing I learned that to be creative I have to study the things all around me. All the things I see I must study them so that I can understand them and when I understand them it's easy for me to do tasks easily.

Defining Creativity

Lesson 1

The meaning of creativity is when you think different ways to solve your problems, create or
prude new invention or design that can help people to make their life easier.
To be creative you must first think outside the box, see things differently, that way you can learn something new and be creative about it. Study everything you see or do. When you study them, you understand them, than you can be creative to think about it. Being creative is not an easy task, you must work hard and do difficult things and there is no such thing as a non creative person. Everyone is creative, only they need to work and see differently.

"To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science. " -Albert Einstein

Example of creative people who achieved great things:
Leonardo Da Vinci

Creative Studies

My expectations

From what I've learned from this class is that being creative is not an easy task. We must broaden our minds and think outside the box. I hope that in this class, the lecturers will teach me how to think creatively and how I can be creative too.
